Orchard Community Energy is a community energy society serving Swale and Medway.

It was created in 2015 to develop local community-owned renewable energy, low carbon and energy efficiency projects. It concentrates on projects that reduce the impact of climate change and increase energy security, whilst at the same time generating significant donations to its community fund.

Profits after the payment of costs and interest are distributed to local community organisations.

We work with our sister organisation Kent Community Energy which develops projects across the Kent County Council area and will own the solar array next to ours near Sittingbourne.
